One master electrician, from the quote to the warranty
The person who answers the phone is the one who gets in the truck, opens your panel and comes back if something is off. VGI Électrique is Marc-André Vinet’s company, RBQ licence 5855-0849-01 and CMEQ member 17468.

About ten years of job
sites before the company
VGI Électrique was founded in 2024. Marc-André Vinet already had about ten years in the trade behind him, on job sites across Montreal’s Southwest and the South Shore.
Roughly 2,000 to 2,500 projects over his career, about 180 a year today. EV chargers, panels to upgrade, radiant floors, pool hookups and farm buildings.
The company carries his name on the licence, and he is the one who shows up at your door.

Why the company stayed small

It is a choice, not a step before growing.
The person who assesses your project is the one who pulls the wire, closes the panel and comes back if something is off. There is no estimator making promises, then a crew discovering the job. No subcontractors either.
What it costs, we say plainly: no 24 hour emergency service, no weekend work, and large industrial volumes are not for us. We answer Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the work is done Monday to Friday.
Start your projectFour commitments,
and what makes them verifiable
A value you cannot prove is only a sentence. Each of these is backed by something concrete.
Clarity
Every project is assessed on site, and the options are explained to you before anything starts. You decide knowing what is going to happen in your home.
On-site assessment, options explained before the work starts
Honesty
If a panel has to be upgraded before a charger, we say so up front, not halfway through the job. A project that is not our trade, we say that too.
The list of what we do not do is public, further down this page
Continuity
No subcontractors. The person who assesses the project is the same one who pulls the wire and closes the panel.
A one person company, licence in his name
Follow-up
Electrical work is judged once it is finished and paid for. That is the moment an electrician is still reachable, or is not.
One year warranty on parts and labour
What our licence numbers actually mean
These numbers are not decoration. Here is what each one really allows, and how to check it without taking our word for it.
The right to do the work, and protection if things go wrong.
- Without a licence from the Régie, a contractor is not allowed to carry out construction work in a building.
- Obtaining one requires a qualification controlled by the Régie, not a simple registration.
- A $20,000 bond covers the deposits paid, unfinished work and defects found within 12 months.
The membership every electrical contractor in Québec is required to hold.
- Without it, no one can do your electrical work, or declare it.
- Only a member can send the work declaration to Hydro-Québec, for a service upgrade for example.
- The Corporation oversees how installations comply with Chapter V of the Québec Construction Code.
An accreditation few electricians in the area hold.
- Installer certification for residential photovoltaic systems.
- Our RBQ licence carries subcategories 16 and 13.5, the two that a complete system requires.
- No solar project delivered to date. What we offer today is an assessment of your project.

You know who is
coming. Now the price.
A few questions about your project and the tool shows a range. It is an estimate to situate things, not a quote: the real price is confirmed on site, by the person you just read about.
How we work
From the first message to the warranty
You describe the project
A call, a text or the form. A photo of the open panel already tells us a lot.
We assess on site
The real capacity of the electrical service, room in the panel, distances, walls to get through. That is where the surprises are, before the work rather than during it.
We explain the options
What is doable, what is not, and what has to be done first. You choose after that, with no pressure.
We do the work and stay reachable
Work Monday to Friday, a one year warranty on parts and labour, and follow-up that does not stop at the last screw.

Four services,
and everything that comes with them

EV charger installation
FLO, Wallbox or Tesla, from the electrical panel to the charger. Around 80 installed over a career.
See the service
Radiant floor heating
Stelpro and Ouellet. An uncommon expertise, planned before the flooring goes down.
See the service
Solar panels
Certified ELIOS de VOLT installer, an accreditation few electricians hold. Informational for now: we assess your project.

Electrical panel upgrade
Upgrade from 100A to 200A. We check what your electrical service can handle before the work, not on the invoice.

What we do,
and what we turn down
A master electrician working alone who says yes to everything ends up doing a bit of everything, averagely. Every refusal on this list protects the quality of what is left, and it gets said on the first call rather than in the middle of the job.
What we do
- Residential: houses, plexes and condos
- Light commercial: restaurants, offices, small spaces
- Agricultural: drying, heat lamps, farm building maintenance
- New construction for private clients
- Consulting ahead of a project
What we do not do
- Industrial maintenance, factories, hospitals
- Robotics and agricultural production lines
- Turnkey home automation
- Heat pump installation, the hookup only
- Work on weekends
- Online quote platforms
A project outside this list? We will tell you on the first call rather than after, and we will point you to someone else if we can.

Tell us about your project
Describe it in a few words, even if it is still just an idea. We assess on site what your installation can take, and you decide from there.
